BRAZILIAN TABLES FOR POULTRY AND SWINE: Feedstuffs Composition and Nutritional Requirements

The Department of Animal Science at the Federal University of Viçosa will release the 5th Edition of the BRAZILIAN TABLES FOR POULTRY AND SWINE: Feedstuffs Composition and Nutritional Requirements”.

A project designed and coordinated by professors and editors Horacio Santiago Rostagno and Luiz Fernando Teixeira Albino, the 5th Edition brings an update on the composition of the main feedstuffs, energy values ​​and digestible amino acids and the nutritional requirements for broilers, breeders, layers, quails, growing swine and breeder’s swine and recommendations for vitamin and trace minerals supplementation.
The event will feature the presentation of the 8 chapters and the new calculator that will be carried out by its authors and collaborators, involving professors from the Department of Animal Science at UFV, UFLA, UNESP, UFPB and EMBRAPA – Swine and Poultry.
In a brief history, the first publication of the BRAZILIAN TABLES FOR POULTRY AND SWINE: Composition of Feedstuffs and Nutritional Requirements, was carried out in 1983. Subsequently, the 1st Edition of the Brazilian Tables were published in 2000, the 2nd edition in 2005, the 3rd edition in 2011 and the 4th edition in 2017.
In this symposium we will have lectures in person in Portuguese with simultaneous translation into Spanish and English.
