After consecutive years of success, the Department of Animal Science at the Federal University of Viçosa, aiming to continue the process of disseminating technologies and increasing the exchange of information between agents involved in beef cattle farming, will promote the XIII SIMCORTE - XIII Symposium on Beef Cattle Production and IX International Symposium on Beef Cattle Production - which will take place in the city of Viçosa, Minas Gerais.
During the 12 meetings held, the event promoted MORE THAN 220 lectures with different themes related to the pillars of beef cattle farming: In total, 182 researchers, teachers and extensionists, of which 36 were international speakers, were able to disseminate their knowledge to MORE THAN 5 THOUSAND students , producers, businesspeople and professionals involved in livestock farming.
With SIMCORTE as an event promoting technical-scientific knowledge and the main advances in beef cattle farming at a global level, by 2022 there had been a total of 181 sponsorships, from 78 different development bodies and private companies. In 2024, in the thirteenth edition, we will continue with the same mission as the first event, promoted in 1999, of aligning knowledge and promoting the dissemination of the latest information related to the meat production chain to those involved in the activity through lectures, short courses and spaces for networking.
